"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." - William Morris

Welcome to SET Organization + Room Design. I'm Nicole Mendelsohn, and chaotic spaces make me itch with all the possibility they offer. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography as well as an MBA. SET lies at the intersection of those two disciplines: everything has to look good, but it also has to make sense. Environmental responsibility and sustainability run through every part of my process. In addition to assessing how you can lower the carbon impact of your home or office, I also provide resources that can help you sell, donate, or recycle items that no longer serve your needs.

I find that my clients are just like me: WE want to live more purposeful liVES with an emphasis on value and experience, not stuff.

The SET seeds were planted within the walls of my own home. I have a husband and two kids, and I realized that if I didn't create processes around remaining mindful about our combined consumption, it could easily get out of control. I soon found I wasn’t alone. The more I spoke with family, friends, and business acquaintances, the more I realized there were a lot of people having the same epiphany; there was a real need to address clutter in all its various forms. Mental, digital, and physical clutter are pervasive. My design process focuses on the creation of a space that not only reflects personal style, but supports daily rituals and the quality of life necessary for a well-lived life.
