Who she is: Graphic Designer and Founder of Indie Foundry & The Cleveland Flea
Style Diagnosis: Modern & bold, emphasis on black and white, with pops of bright color. Preference is for open shelving and simple, architectural solutions.
What she was looking for: Separation between her home office and her home life. A way to display all the beautiful items she's collected at The Cleveland Flea over the last year. A home office that would reflect her personal style but also be professional. A digital and financial organization plan, that would help her waste less time and money by being more efficient and streamlined about what services she uses to manage her business. Purging of items that she no longer needs. Reorganizing what is left into a space that feels polished, homey and inspiring.
What we did: The SET Method. I employed my personalized program, the SET Method, to help Stephanie define her goals and set the path for achieving those goals. She knew what she wanted, but needed a friendly, knowledgeable expert to help her execute. The SET Method got us on the same page, so that I knew that at the end of our time together, her goals would be met and her space would be a reflection of her personal and business style.
What she has to say:
"My biggest challenge was managing all of my stuff in a beautiful, simple way that would reflect the fact that I live and work in the same space. My office and work had taken over my space in a way that I couldn't relax. My live/work balance was extremely off, and that was reflected in my apartment. Nikki helped me "feng-shui" the loft, so that the flow of space from a client perspective and from a living perspective felt aligned. She created a very separate area for "home" where I now enjoy a daily ritual of coffee, writing and reading, thus improving my mood and even my productivity. She also helped me purge much of the stuff I was holding onto, hoping that one day I'd use. I think that we moved 5 large garbage bags of donations and recyclables out of my apartment in one day! From there, she also helped me tackle the growing digital clutter I had: email inbox, business apps, and even newsletters. I can focus on what matters because what doesn't matter isn't cluttering my mind anymore! I can't thank her enough!" - Stephanie Sheldon
